Terms included in the 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards Glossary are those for which the International Internal Standards Board sought to ensure a common meaning globally and consistent usage throughout the content of Standards and International Professional Practices Framework.
Some potential Glossary terms were excluded because they were sufficiently explained elsewhere within the Standards or best understood in context. Other potential glossary terms were excluded because they were considered too general.
